  1. Can someone explain the operation of the economizer valve on a Stromberg DD-3 carburetor? Thanks
  2. Interesting. The brackets on the Purolator look very similar to mine. The filter is obviously different. I would prefer to use the same mounting brackets I have. Maybe I'll try and make a canister I can hide a spin-on filter inside of.
  3. Is anyone making replacement oil filters for the firewall mounted canisters? Alternatively, is there a similar unit that will hide a modern spin-on? Thanks for the help.
  4. Thanks for the help. I was able to find a modern seal with the correct dimensions. The oil vent is a great idea. I will add one.
  5. Here is what mine looks like. The seal looks to be JB welded in place. I assume there is a better way to do it. Do you know the dimensions of the CR19760 seal?
  6. Hello all, In pulling off the brake drum, to repair the lug bolt thread, I uncovered a leaking outer axle seal. Can anyone recommend a source for the seal as well as friction lining material for the brake shoes? The drums are 14". Thanks for your help, Greg
  7. Hello, I am in search of an original style wheel lug bolt for a 1928 72-6 roadster with wire wheels. It has a 9/16-18 thread. Any help finding one would be appreciated. Thank you, Greg
  8. The 1929 130 I am working on has some scoring on the cylinder walls. The plan is to have the cylinders bored/honed the minimum amount needed to clean the walls and then have custom pistons made. I have heard that Egge was making Franklin pistons but they are not listed on their website. Has anyone had pistons made by Wiseco, Ross, Arias or any of the other piston manufacturers? What clearances are you using? I am assuming .003-.004 (similar to an air cooled a VW or MC) is what I am looking for. Thanks for your help
  9. I don't know if you have any parts still available but I am looking for a cover for the top of a rocker arm oiler on a 1929 135. Any chance you have one Thanks, Greg
  10. I am looking for a combined fuel/water temperature gauge found on some early to mid 30's fords as well as some british cars. I do not know the original manufacturer but it is approx. 2" round with a King Seeley/Hobson telegage style fuel gauge and thermometer style temperature gauge. The pictures attached show what I am looking for. Any help finding this unit (or something similar) or further identifying it would be appreciated. Thank you
