I recently inherited a car from my grandpa, a 1955 chevrolet Bel Air, and the car is idling very low and dies if the accelerator is not pressed. I spent over 1000$ on a brake job and now this happens, so I am trying to keep this in my garage, with minimal professional help. The carburator is Holley, I have no idea what model. The throttle plate is fixed, and I am wondering how to loosen it so it will move as it is supposed to. If it is not the plate, any ideas what it could be?
