  1. Help! I just purchased a beautifully restored 1967 El Camino this week, 327/275HP, glossy red, buckets, rust free, excellent condition. Of course the next day it rains 8 inches and soaks the carpet and interior through a leak somewhere in the rear cabin. I pulled out the little rubber/metal vent flaps behind the seats, and found 2 plastic plugs in the lower bed pan. I removed these and now most of the water in the bed can drain out through bottom of the truck. But I still get a lot of water running inside the lower rockers under the doors and seeping in through screw holes, seams, etc. I don?t yet have a body manual so I don?t know where all the seals and drains are supposed to be. But it seems to me that the bed does not drain unless it filters through the seams around the bolted in ?smugglers panel? in the front 1/3 of the bed. My question: what is the factory plan/method for sealing/draining rain water from the bed? Thanks in advance. Brian
