YOU SHOULD SEE WHAT IT DOES TO A STAINLESS SHAFT AS WELL, JUST AS BAD AS BRONZE. THE SIZE OF PACKING IS DETERMINED BY THE SHAFT SIZE AS WELL AS THE SIZE OF THE PACKING NUT. THE PACKING IS WRAPPED AROUND THE SHAFT ONE FULL REVOLUTION, AS IT MEETS ITSELF YOU MAKE A DIAGONAL CUT ACROSS BOTH PIECES FORMING A MITER CUT ON EA. THAT WILL THEN CREATE A PERFECT JOINT.
