Thanks Matt for the detail on the steering wheel construction, it is quite impressive in terms of quality and speed. A further question on linkages , is there an Australian supplier of the Bent-Swivel Ball Joints ?? My best efforts have located them at McMaster-Carr in the US.. Regards Norm

Hi Matt, More talented work from you, I have the very same rust repair to do, my thought is to weld a thin strip to the edge to form the 90-degree bend around the curve. Bead rolling around a curve is past me... Earlier you mentioned using spotted gum for the main runners what is your timber of choice for the rest ??? Thankyou for giving us a great insight into restoration techniques.

Hi Matt, Great documentation of the process, I am part of the angled challenged group, I see the 15 degree guide on your jig with your blade at 90 degrees but a 3 degree compound cut ? Regards Norm

DR Google also suggests that QCells are easily sanded; makes the ideal filler to glue in fin boxes and legrope plugs and is suitable for repairing “dings” in surfboards.
