  1. I had pulled my tachometer on my 70 442 W30 because it and the clock was not working. After pulling it, I discovered that none of the wires were connected. No wonder it didn't work. I could only locate one green wire that was hanging loose. Not sure what that is for. Is there any other color I should be looking for and should'nt there be three wires in all. Thans for any suggestions.
  2. I am painting my SSI wheels on a 70 442 W30. I am using black wheel paint from Eastwood. I finished the painting and the wheels look great. I am wondering if anyone has used a clear coat on top of that for greater protection or would it make the color appear incorrect. [color:\\"black\\"]

  6. I just received new battery cables and do not yet have a cable tube for the positive cable on a 70442W30 auto trans. I am looking at the assembly manual trying to figure out were the tube would go and how to install it. Do you have to do it from underneath the car or from the top. Thanks for any info.
  7. What is the correct color for the jack and lug wrench on 1970 442W30. I thought it was a flat grey. Is this correct.

  11. I second that on the Por15. Log onto the web site and you will find some amazing products for your needs. They also have products for filling holes. I have used it on the battery tray and it looks amazing. Good luck.
  12. From 1970 owner's manual. For coupes and convertibles in inches. Wheel base: 112.0 Overall length: 203.2 Overall width: 76.2

  14. I have a 1970 442 W30 with A/T and the TH400 trans. The speedometer is reading about 20-25mph faster than it should. I have had someone suggest that it is just a simple fix of changing a color coded gear inside the transmission. Is this right? Or could it be more complex than that. Any information is appreciated. Thanks. John G.
