Fenders are not correct. Look more like 1928 - 29 Model A Ford. -

listing no longer available, sold? -
Thanks @sagefinds for looking. They just do not show up very often, kind of like the mirrors.
-
Thanks. Any help is appreaciated. It's been in the high 50's in the Seattle area with more than normal rain.
-
That is correct @sagefinds. Have added pictures of two with different lengths but either one will work. Thanks for asking. The first one is about 7 1/4" overall length This one is about 5 1/2" overall length.
-
Correct. Made a new bowl gasket for a good seal.

Thanks to information provided by @Mark Gregush, I was able to purchase a glass sediment bowl filter for the 1930 - 31 Ford Model A from C W Moss Ford Parts. Made two minor modifications, first, enlarged the outlet hole to 5/8" to fit the gascolator housing and, second, trimed the outside seal on top of the filter, not necessary but it serves no purpose on this application. The glass bowl gasket that came with the kit is too small for the gascolator and could not be used. Still looking for a long arm gascolator. Have a short arm one for trade or will buy. Picture of model - S, short arm gascolator.
-
Thanks @Mark Gregush. I just tried to order a Model A filter with a spring for the bottom spring but it seems like everyone is "out of stock". Using a screen that covers the entire top does not work as it covers the gas inlet line trapping any dirt on top of the screen not allowing it to reach the sediment bowel.
-
Still looking. Can anyone help? Thanks
-
The center outlet hole for filter is 5/8" OD. The glass bowl is 2 5/8" OD, 2" ID and 2 9/16" deep. The original filter was a wire basket covered by chamois leather which is long gone on this one.Bottom side Top side This is a Model S which I believe stands for short arm that fits on the small vacuum tanks.

@Peter Gariepy Good point. This is for the Alemite Gascolator used with the Stewart Warner and Kingston vacuum fuel pumps. Thanks -
-
I have a gascolator that is missing the cage for the filter. I understand that there is a Wix filter that can be used by placing a spring at the bottom to keep it in place. Does anyone know the Wix or NAPA number of this filter?

Need a long arm gascolator. Can use either the 5 3/4 or 7" overall length. Have a short arm for trade (no filter inside) or will buy.

Looks like its ready to drive and have fun. Just need to replumb the vacuuum fuel system and get rid of the electric pump. -
@BlueDevil I like what you have done and will give it a try. @Mr. Don All good questions. I had boxed all the parts and put away for a rainy day. I'll get it out first of the year and refresh my memory but I believe the thought was the copper medallion could have been fixed to the backing plate by a low temp solder. Thanks to both of you for the interest to help get this project back on track.
