Thank you for reply. I’ve had it in my garage for the last 15 years. I bought it in Hershey flea market for a friend’s car, but it turned out being the wrong one for his car. Just looked @ some pictures of ‘46 & ‘47 Lincoln’s posted online & that wheel cap appears on most of them. I’m now going to polish it up & post it for sale online. If nobody wants it, I’m going to convert it to a wall clock.

Can any of the Lincoln Gurus on this forum identify what year & model this Lincoln Center Cap is from? My best guess is it is from the ‘30’s era.

I’m happy to report the Blue Bird Wanderlodge “Hooked On A Dream” has found the next caretaker to give it the proper love that my recently departed friend has given it for the past 26 years. I have not had the time to take care of those issues; therefore I have priced the car very reasonable @ just $5,500 when you take into consideration the fairly low miles it has & total overall condition. I just found a supplier called ACC (Auto Custom Carpets) that shows the front being available in a moulded set in cutpile. I think the factory used a different material then cutpile but it was hard to tell from the photo they showed on their website.

Do u know the name of the vendor Dave?

Is there a vendor out there who can supply the correct material moulded carpet kit for the Reatta?I seem to remember seeing a post way back about a supplier. Maybe Barney Eaton knows. I got a really nice floor mat set from him many years ago.

The 1949 Kaiser Virginian is now up & posted on this forum in a new post with multiple photos. Thanks Imperial62 for the suggestion. I see you like Reattas. My favorite American car from the late 80's & early 90's. Right now I am Reattaless. I've owned about a half dozen of them over the years. There was a nice looking '90 Select 60 on Ebay earlier this week that sold for $10,100. Looked good in the photos. The Select 60 is on my bucket list. They never really climbed up in value like I thought they would. Lot of collector car for not a lot of money that you can drive everyday if you wanted to. Stuart a/k/a Reatta Vice

I was one of the first ones to call & the price it was offered for was so reasonable I knew it would be sold before I could get there to see for myself. Glad to know other forum members were not lazy & picked up the phone to call. Just because they don't put a price does not mean they want too much for something. The $3,000 list price in 1949 was quite an expensive production model for the day.The restoration shop that services our collection just went through the car & refurbished her with new paint, a new padded vinyl top, had the front & rear bumpers replated, did a complete brake overhaul, fuel system service, new 8 volt battery, complete new exhaust system replacement, & added a new set of Goodyear wide white wall bias ply tires, new carpet & engine bay detail. The premium leather seat interior shows beautiful & had been recently replaced by the previous owner.The current NADA Classic Car Guides values this car @ $17,400 in average retail condition & @ $34,100 in high retail condition. We feel that the condition of this car falls somewhere in between these figures making this one priced very realistically @ just $18,900 when you take into consideration all the work that was just recently completed. Just looking at some of my old posts on the forum & I am flabbergasted myself that I still have this '55 Imperial Sedan so I am reviving the post in case you missed seeing it earlier. I can't say the reason I still have it is because the people who inquired about did not like it when they came out to see it because no one person who ever inquiried came out to see it. Yes it is a lot of car for $9500 but you will never know unless you make an effort to come & see it for yourself. If this car was in the Hershey car coral last month, it would of been sold in 5 minutes. Give me a call me if you want a nice car. You won't find a better one for $9,500. When original owner retired in 2003 he & his best friend who worked at that same Doraville, GA GM Assembly Plant decided to rebuild the engine & transmission, had the car re-sprayed with a good quality paint job as a retirement therapy project. It was his pride & joy and was always garage kept & pampered all it's life. It has been driven less than 2K miles since the engine rebuild according to the son whom we purchasaed the car from. His dad special ordered it new in 1977 with the top of the line CLASSIC series trim option which sported quad retangular headlights in a stacked arrangement. Sadly, he passed away in 2010 & the family held on to it as a memory until they decided it was now time to depart with it. We were told by his son the 79,961 miles showing on the odometer are the actual miles. The interior is immaculate & all stock, the body is straight, & the exterior Black paint finish has a deep luster.The 1977 El Camino was the last of the fourth-generation models that made their debuts in 1973. It's hard to find a good one in this A body style platform that is still all stock. Most were driven hard, put to bed wet, or turned into hot rods. Just a quick reminder my 1955 Imperial is still available in case any forum readers did not see my post from last month. I have since sourced & installed the missing emblem that goes on the front of the hood. Don't let the low price I put on this car scare you into thinking that there must be something wrong with it that's not being mentioned in the description.
