At the time I worked for Curtiss Wright they had their hands into everything. They had rights to the Wankle Engine, Mercedes, NSU Prinz, and were working on a revolutionary automatic trany. They even had a "Air Car" which was a ground flotation vehicle. I think they built three of them. Last I saw of them is in Army Trans. Museum at Fort Eustas VA. Lots of 56 Packard Trim on it. HA!I witnessed many trial runs on it, up and down the runway at Caldwell N.J."Those were the days"
