Yes the Metal Screen sits inside the porus filter element. I'm trying to find a source for the filter elements myself.

I'm trying to find a source for the insert filter and gasket for the glass bowl type AC Delco Filters used on the 1948 Buick Super. Anyone know who might have NOS Parts or reproductions?
