odd that the passenger side has the wing window but the driver's side has the side curtain set up without the wing window. -
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/d/san-francisco-1954-studebaker-champion/7503092488.html Here is a very original 1954 Studebaker Champion Deluxe Starlight Coupe. It has a 3-speed manual transmission and an excellent running original 6 cylinder engine. Brakes are good, clutch is good as is suspension and steering. Interior is in above average condition but does need carpet. Body has some rust underneath but floorboards and trunk are mostly solid. Paint looks good from 20 feet but close up is fair with cracking in various areas, chrome is very good, tires are good. Needs a new wiring harness. Car runs and drives but several wires are missing(no lights). A complete wiring harness sells for around $400 from various Studebaker vendors. These cars are getting harder to find in original untouched shape like this one. Car is located in San Francisco, CA This is a great deal for the right person!! $6000/FIRM 415 six five two-3926

Yellow1301 started following 1939 DeSoto column shift adjustment
-
I just bought a 39 DeSoto with a 3-speed column shift. All Mopars share this system for 1939. Plymouth also offered a floor shift model(P7). Anyway, it has a “remote control cable” that assists in shifting through the gears . It seems that the settling for that is very critical. My car has problems going into 2nd and 3rd when cold. Once warned it is mostly ok, with an occasional clunk getting into 2nd. The manual has a paragraph about the adjustment but no mention how it operates. Is anyone familiar with this system and the correct adjustment for it? Any info greatly appreciated! Nick
