I'm not sure what I was writing in my original post. I didn't have the info in front of me and my memory was off. Number on car 3191909 number on title C4560698. I have attached pictures

Thank you for the quick replies. The number I found was behind the passenger wheel. 37 Buick Roadmaster. The numbers were totally different. The one I found on the car starts with a 1... number on title starts with 3. I was told that those models should be between 299497 and 3219847. Number on title is between those. I will check other places as suggested.

What could be a reason for VIN number on car not matching VIN number on title. 1937 vehicle... did a VIN history search for number on Title... it shows a history dating back to 2000. If I am trying to sell it, what do I need to do? Thanks for any suggestions.
