  1. There's a back seat for a model 48 currently on fleabay. Don't have any idea ho different it might be. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173553124747
  2. So, that's what they look like when every panel is properly aligned!! Looking good!
  3. Thanks for the tip, Ben. Mine is really bad, with half of the teeth missing in spots ( where it usually stops!). It also looks to have been flipped before. I'm sure it'll be a big project, but worth the trouble, as I have a few leaks that will also get adressed on the way. I think I might have a picture some where, and if I find it, I'll post it.
  4. Thanks, JV! Just ordered it. I think I head seen they had one, but being a tightwad, I hoped I'd find one for less. Finally time to get 'er done. Larry
  5. I need a good or at least flipable flywheel ring gear for a 39 Special 248. Mine looks to have already been flipped, and it's in bad shape! On or off the flywheel! Larry Elliott
  6. Billy, Every time I look at that last picture of that fab paint job, I see those four holes in the front of the driver side front fender. Is that for a front license plate? I have one in the same general area, but mine attaches to the bumper........ l am always amazed at the small differences over the months of production and the years of life for these cars!
  7. That old Buick looks better with every visit I make to see your progress! It looks amazing! Larry
  8. I know this is an ancient thread, but I just found a correct jack for my '39 Special at Hershey, repainted it (it was red, and I think that was original) and thought about stowage in the trunk. Anybody have a picture of proper jack and handle storage in a Special? And for that matter, any pictures of what the trunk should look like?
  9. I'll send you a message with the info, so we don't hijack this thread.
  10. Billy, just curious -do you have fender skirts for your '39? Sure seem to dress up the car in my opinion. Guess you can match paint at a later date if you go that way.
  11. The Buick is really coming together nicely! I think I recall you had holes for fender mount lights to use as front turn signals. Mine had motorcycle style front turn signals some previous owner installed. I removed them and added hidden arrow style LED lights behind the grille, so I have front signals, but no one sees them unless they're in use. A happy period incorrect solution for me!
  12. Looking fabulous, Billy! Your dad must be proud.
  13. Wow! What a project! Nice work so far. I recently purchased a 39 Special, too, coincidentally in Sequoia Cream! It also was originally a black car, but that color on top of all that 30's style hooked me. Mine is a decent driver that will never win any prizes, but that's what I wanted. I reviewed your project to date enthusiastically! I have a lot to learn, and it appears this is the right place for that. I see you worked on your running boards. Those are twice the width of mine. Mine are body color, with chrome strips. We're there options? Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Larry Elliott
