  1. Hi guys, I am rodding what was a fairly thrashed-out 1928 Studebaker Dictator. I need a wiper motor and any linkage, blade, etc. Any help appreciated.
  2. I know this is an old post, but I see lots of great advice, and some not so good in here. NONE of this stuff should even be attempted before ensuring that the PCV is working correctly. Since about 30% of idle air is via the PCV, anything at all wrong, plugged, stuck, or otherwise will kill proper idle. That's from Buick, not me I had a helluva time getting idle setup and just off idle working well after rebuilding the AFB on my 425 Nailhead. Funny thing is, NAPA had provided me with a new PCV. Just would not settle down. Ordered a new PCV online from Rockauto, and though identical in appearance, it did the trick. Smooth, easily idled at spec (550 rpm with A/C on). Hopefully this saves someone ...
  3. Yes, thanks. Turning the knob all the way CCW doesn't change anything. Probably the duff dimmer? The dimmer switch is broken, I just found one of these rare birds at Pacific Auto for $29. Susp[ect it will do the trick. Everyone is out of this DS-73 switch\ it seems. Thanks again, will advise results when I get the new switch in.
  4. Interesting problem, but at least it is resolved I am working on a similar issue, but with the gizmo that auto-dims on top of the dashboard on my 64 Rivi. I get all 4 lights come on, when I hit dimmer, just parking lights go on or off. No effect on headlamps. Auto dim gizmo is supposed to detect lights and dim, but it doesn't do anything, not even in the override position. So far, no joy... I suspected the dimmer switch, but cannot find the one with the extra wire for auto-dimmer, only these ones at Rock Auto https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/buick,1964,riviera,7.0l+425cid+v8,1319475,electrical-switch+&+relay,dimmer+switch,4340 Bought it last fall, did all suspension, engine work, axle, brakes, hoses & lines, converted to HEI, etc., over winter. Getting ready for safety, need lights to do their thing Video of my car when I first bought it. Needed some work.
