Hi I realize this is an old posting just wondering if you have any parts left?

My new project is a 38 Plymouth sedan and one front fender is approx 1 1/2 inch wider. From what I can tell truck fenders are completely different so I don't think that is what it is. Are coupe and sedan fenders different? The front fenders bolt up and look the same but one is wider in the middle at the wheel opening. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Racing has always been the fastest car wins. With NASCAR it used to be you raced a production car body they even had templates to check the body lines. A few years ago NASCAR had a race where they all raced identical Chevys the idea was if all the cars were identical this would show who had the best driving skills. It was boring all the drivers did was drive around in a line and thats what NASCAR is today. All the same bodies just different stickers on them to resemble different manufactures, there are so many rules that the engines are basically the same, so all they do is drive around in a line. A lot of automotive ideas came out of racing but why invent new ideas when you can't use them, everyone is the same, everyone is a winner, boring. Thats why I quit watching anyway.

I've had a few old mopars it can be rough to find certain things what are you looking to do maybe I can help guide you.

Thanks for the reply. I love these 38 mopars the last one was a 38 Dodge. The Plymouth fenders are exactly the same except one is wider. There is no evidance of cuts or alterations everything mounts up like it should. I'm not very familiar with the trucks but I thought they had a little more crown in the center though I could be thinking 37. I will see if I can get a picture posted. Anyway around it I'm still going to need a fender I just want to get the right one. Thanks again for the help.

Can someone help? Just purchased a new project a 1938 Plymouth and when checking it out before disassembly I noticed that one front fender is approx 1 1/2 inch wider than the other. I'm not sure but I think the wider is off a coupe. Can some one help with this?
