  1. Hello everyone. I don’t have any antique cars at the moment, but I just recently acquired this E&J All Brass Carbide generator. Has a few small cracks, has basket inside with thumb screws, missing bottom bracket. I am not selling at the moment but am open to trades (apologies if not allowed) If you’re close to Northern Colorado, I am looking for antique cars/motorcycles (pre-1960) or antique bicycles (pre-1950). If you’re not, I’m looking for Antique Desk Fans (pre-1920), antique lighting, antique signs, 1880s-1900s electrical items or militaria (pre-1950) of equal value. Send me a PM with photos if you have anything like this to trade. Cheers everyone!
  2. Thanks for our to replies. Any idea on value?
  3. Found this all brass carbide generator the other day. Listed by seller as “coffee pot”. Seems to be missing the bracket, but the cage and screws are inside. Couple small brass cracks to body. Which car would this have gone on? How much is this worth? thank you.
  4. The Vesta Accumulator Co. was based out of Chicago, and primarily manufactured light accessories for early automotive applications. This searchlight would've been mounted onto the vehicle adjacent to the cab, allowing for the driver or passenger to grab the knob and angle the spotlight for better visibility. It dates anywhere from the 1910s to the 1920s. It casts a very warm, accent light, though the bulb can always be replaced with a higher lumen bulb. $175 + Shipping Check it out here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/572286652/antique-industrial-vesta-accumulator-co
  5. This is a 4 FL. OZS. "Cling - Surface" Fan & V-Belt Dressing Oiler made by the Cling Surface Company in Buffalo, N.Y. There is some dried oil on the surface, but it could be cleaned of to make that 1940s - 1950s style pop! The metal has rusted, and there is still oil inside of the can, but I will tape the nozzle so that it remains leak free! It measures 5.25" x 2.25" x 1.5". $8.00 + Shipping Check it out here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/509856205/vintage-cling-surface-fan-v-belt?ref=shop_home_active_1
  6. Handle operates well. There is wear consistent with its age and there is still some dirt in the inside since it has been untouched. $27.00 + Shipping Go here for more info: https://www.etsy.com/listing/602698315/vintage-aluminum-opw-gas-pump-nozzle
  7. It is about 29" long and 3 1/4" wide, sturdy embossed metal, white on blue paint. It has the aesthetic and look that motivates me to collect in the first place. It will be a welcome addition to your garage or Petroliana collection. There is a considerable amount of wear and rust consistent with its age. There is paint loss and the blue paint has lost its luster. There is rusting at various points on the sign and there is one hole on the "A" in General. There is a light coat of speckles from yellow spray paint on the surface of the sign that may be removable. Please study pictures for condition before purchasing. $265 + Shipping Check it out here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/599119575/rare-antique-vintage-vertical-general
  8. The headlight was originally manufactured by the Dietz Lamp Co. in New York, and the base was manufactured in Connecticut, as stamped on the cast iron under the base. I knew this would look perfect with the proper base, and was lucky enough to find a chrome lamp base from the 1920s. I took a solid aluminum bar and cut it to size for the inner shaft of the lamp base, and the set screw allows you adjust the height of the lamp. The bracket is bolted to a piece of wood fitted to an aluminum bar set into the base's shaft. There is also the original toggle switch on the back of the headlight to turn the lamp ON and OFF. The inside contains a step-down transformer, allowing the input of the 120V AC power source to be converted into a 12V DC current output. It is wired with a 6 foot long rubber cord. The bulb in the headlight is a new GE PAR46 12V Halogen bulb that is rated for a 350 Hour Life. $95 + Shipping Check it out here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/527246539/custom-constructed-vintage-antique Cheers!
  9. I've made it usable on a 120VAC current. Really one of a kind, and great for a car collector. Just posted it today. There is a more detailed description on the Etsy post. Let me know if you have any questions. https://www.etsy.com/listing/527246539/custom-constructed-vintage-antique
  10. I apologize everybody. Everywhere I had searched had said they were batteries, and I specialize in vintage lighting and desk fans, not cars. Not wealthy enough to buy and work on classic cars yet.
