  1. Does anyone have a good paint code for 1953 #83 Pinehurst green? I've tried a sample of a PPG color that they say is the equivalent, but it is not green enough compared to some of the original color I still have left on the car. Any help would be appreciated. Craig
  2. Looks like it should be a direct replacement.
  3. Bill, part number on the cooler is 8520994. Below that is 53 N A
  4. It's at my shop. I'll have to get back to you Monday or Tuesday.
  5. Does anyone have a good 1953 dynaflow oil cooler? Need one for my Skylark.
  6. I've been checking out several 1953 Skylark builds on the internet. I see a lot of the frames and differentials are powder coated or painted black. However, inspecting mine it looks like almost everything underneath the car, including the body, is red oxide with undercoating. So I'm thinking it would be best to go in that color. Does anyone have a guide or photos that show correct paint applications to the undercarriage for the 1953 Skylark?
  7. I'm underway on the ground up restoration of my 53 Skylark. Once complete I intend to drive and show the car. I see in the judging manual that it is acceptable to change the brake lines to stainless. Is stainless acceptable or would it be a deduction for other hard lines such as fuel, transmission cooler, engine vacuum lines, and interior hydraulic power lines?
  8. Thanks Al. I guess that's what I get for looking things up in a hurry. Truth be told I'll probably need the nut too. And, yes Greg I need the mustache for a 1953 Super or Roadmaster, 50/70 series.
  9. Hi all, I'm looking for a few parts and some sheetmetal for my 1953 Skylark restoration project. I need a Frame Radiator Grille 50-70 (inner) PN: 1346801, mine is cracked. Another big item I'm missing is the Silencer, Carburetor Air Cleaner PN: 181591 and support PN: 1345505. I have new floorboards on the way thanks to Ken. However, I still need a trunk pan and may need rocker panels. Does anyone know of a good supplier for these? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
