  1. Thanks again folks for the comments. So I am getting the feeling the original window shades in the rear and some real "Patina" is more desirable as long as it is presentable and usable as is. Any thoughts on ways to clean seats, door panels including the headliner which is 100% in tact just discolored? Paul
  2. Thanks everyone for the insights and humor. We are all underwater Auto Specialists at some point, the love of the hobby is what keeps us going and that cannot be measured in mere dollars and cents. I know the shop in Lebanon well, right down the street from me and Linden is not far from where i grew up. Emaus PA is not too far either. Thanks everyone and a few more pics that I obtained today for your viewing pleasure. Happy New Year!!!!!!!
  3. So I know its a difficult question, but......assuming this car runs and all is good, what kind of a valuation am I looking at? Range of high/low is fine based on condition, history, paperwork, etc, just looking for a ballpark. Thanks
  4. Interior is in nice condition, perhaps I should have said a freshening. Thanks everyone this is not my area of expertise.
  5. Can anyone assist with identifying what model Packard I have here and a good shop for interior restoration in the NJ/PA area? Little info available beyond pics attached, estate sale. Thanks and Happy New Year
  6. Need to get this car moved as I downsize. Cant imagine many Camaro's turning 50 this year with as much documentation or limited ownership to help celebrate it's Golden Jubilee than this one. Paul
  7. I am willing to accept less than the asking price of $90K. Thanks
  8. I am willing to accept less than the asking price of $90K. Thanks
  9. Really need to get this 58 to a new home so I can take on a new toy. Reasonable offers accepted. Thanks
  10. You are 100% correct, my error in cutting and pasting from another document. Thanks for pointing it out. Paul
  11. It sure you did, made it across the river and on to the island.
  12. This 1967 Camaro was acquired from the family of the original owner who purchased the car as a Christmas Gift for his wife in 1966 and as such is one of the earliest Camaro's built. The car has never left Somerset or Hunterdon County New Jersey having been sold at Werring Chevrolet - Oldsmobile in Basking Ridge NJ. The car has been carefully and meticulously restored to the condition it came off the assembly line the fourth week of November 1966. Unlike most first generation Camaro’s, this one is a low option car that was born bare bones with only several options. Most significant is the convertible option, AM Radio, Center Console and Automatic Transmission. The story as shared by the family and available from them directly via meeting and hearing the story yourself is that Christmas Eve 1966 was a snowy night and Mr. Brown advised his family he was going to help a neighbor in Basking Ridge NJ whose car had become stuck in the snow. Little did they know Mr. Brown would return with this car and tuck it into the garage unnoticed. The next morning Mrs. Brown and the entire family were overcome with sheer joy and excitement as the small box Mrs. Brown opened did not contain jewelry or any other trinket but rather two keys, one square for the ignition and doors, the other rounded for the glove box and trunk. Please carefully ask questions as not all restorations are the same. This car was literally stripped of every nut and bolt with the sub frame removed allowing it to be reassembled exactly as it looked in late 1966 as one of the earliest Camaro’s produced. My deal with the family when acquiring this car in May 2006 was that it would be properly restored to its original condition. Until that point it was used by the son through 2003 at which time it was parked until I acquired it in 2006. I am the second owner with my NJ State issued certificate of title indicating it had one previous owner. Interestingly this car is the highlight of shows, cruise nights, parades, etc., as everyone seems to have a restored Z-28, SS, RS or Retro Rod with modern drive-trains with few (if any) of these simple pony cars restored to original condition. I am an avid collector, restorer and follower of 60’s GM Muscle cars having several other fist gen Camaro’s, Vette’s and GTO’s in the collection and over the years. Documentation consists of repair receipts dating back to 1980 as well as all the receipts since I have owned the car. I have complete access to the original owner and will be sure the new owner has their contact information. I have many pictures which speak for themselves as to the condition it was when I acquired the car, the restoration process and final result. The VIN and Cowl Tag on these Camaros are quite simple to translate with the specifics on this one as follows: VIN: 123677N141334 1967 Camaro VIN Interpretation 1 = Chevrolet 2 = Camaro 3 = 6-Cylinder Engine 67 = Convertible Body 7 = Model Year N = Norwood Ohio Assembly Plant 141334 = vehicle serial number sequence Cowl Tag: 1967 Camaro Cowl Tag Interpretation · 11D = Build Date November,4th Week · B = Interior Color Code - Blue · ST 67 = Model Year 1 = Chevrolet 2 = Camaro 4 = Standard Interior 67 = Convertible · NOR = Prod Plant, Norwood Ohio · 41335 = Fisher Body Number · TR 717 = Interior Trim Blue Z = Standard Bucket Seats · E = Exterior Color Code – Deepwater Blue · 1 = Convertible Top Color, White · D = Power Convertible Top · 2MG = Power Glide Auto Trans with Center Console
  13. This particular car sports the massive 348 cubic inch engine introduced only one year earlier and more importantly the 280hp version with 3-2 barrel carburetor's. This car has its original engine as well as exterior color of Onyx Black with a nicely contrasting tri color red/grey/black interior that compliments the rich characteristics of the matching solid black convertible top. The wide whites and full spinner wheel covers along with rear fender skirts really, dual antenna’s and more make this the perfect parade car or for that matter any special occasion. This particular model has manual windows, automatic transmissions, dual exhaust, Power Steering, Power Roof, Power Brakes, detailed under carriage and frame, bright trim, exceptionally clear glass with all gauges, lights and components operating properly. I have an IVAN report from July with a value greater than my asking price. See November 2016 issue of Hemmings or online at their website, item # #1816610
