  1. Stud for wood artillery type wheels used on 1917 Oldsmobile model 45 8 passenger touring car, V8 engine Have pictures available if anyone thinks they can help email me at dcas@srt.com Thanks, Dan dancaswellcollectibles.com
  2. You will probably have to replace the armature now; you have more than likely magnetized it. Generators are ruined very easy by spinning them with current - they are not designed for this. You are only supposed to "flash" current to them to polarize them. I have seen many people do what you did; & it results in complete rebuild of the generator afterwards. Sorry. Dan Caswell, Minot, ND
  3. Recently acquired nice 25 Stude Standard Six Duplex Touring from Volo Auto Museum. One headlight not working; current to it; bulb must be burned out. There is a hole at the bottom of both headlight rims; but no screw with which to remove the ring & lense to access bulb. One person thought maybe turn rim 10 degrees & it would pop off. I am able to rotate it 360 degrees; but can not find any spot in which it becomes looser. Rim appears to be "popped" over a lip on the headlight drum. Does anyone have any experience with this unit? Thanks, Dan Caswell, Minot, ND
  4. I just bought one too; trying to figure out how to remove headlight rings so can replace bulb. Any suggestions? dcas@srt.com thanks, Dan Caswell
  5. I do not have the rings to sell; but have just purchased 1925 Standard Six Duplex Touring; which needs headlight bulb replaced. The headlight rings appear to possibly just snap over a ridge on the headlight drum; but that doesn't really seem right - would be hard to remove without damaging paint. Being you have these apart; can you shed some light on how to remove these rings & change the bulb? I see this post pretty old; hope you are still on site!! Thanks, Dan Caswell, Minot, ND
