  1. I am in need of a radiator cap for my 1913 Locomobile. Bakelite, external threads (brass insert under the bakelite). threaded section is about 2 1/8” diameter. Please email me or call if you one available. Tom tomlee72@mac.com 610-212-5047
  2. we took our 1913 Model 38 out last weekend on the Burkittsville MD HCCA tour. great time. Most big hills in 3rd gear, although when caught behind a Model T, 2nd gear was needed to keep her rolling. Car ran all day one in 95+ heat.
  3. we will be taking our 1913 Model 38 on the HCCA Burketsville MD tour in July should be fun.
  4. I’ve been looking for a correct one. I found one on n Hershey by the same manufacturer and it is the proper style, but it’s not stamped locomobile and it’s a bit short. These cars need a tall jack
  5. Heavy as a battleship for sure. i think that it’s also geared for smooth riding rather than quick acceleration. But it’s relative for sure. And it doesn’t really care about hills — it maintains a nice constant speed up the steepest of them. Lot of torque in those 6 cylinders. and yes — the 5-passenger body is much sportier than the longer wheelbase cars.
  6. only Locomobile would call a 65hp car of this size the 'Little Six". although we do refer to the car as our "Little Loco" <smirk>
  7. it's my 1913 Model 38. I can attest to 55mph easily with more available. it does not accelerate quickly, but 65bhp moves it along nicely
  8. Alsancle - yes, my car. Making some more garage space for the Locomobile!
  9. This is a great opportunity to purchase a really good L29 Cabriolet. It has been well cared for and maintained. Older (40+ year) restoration in very good condition https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1930-cord-l-29/
  10. I am looking for a 1913 operators manual for my Model 38. a 1914 or 1915 manual would be acceptable as well. also looking for a copy of the Locomobile Book covering the 1913 models or similar sales/factory literature please email or PM me directly. (tomlee72@mac.com)
  11. I'm looking for a replacement flywheel for my 1933 Auburn 8-101A (non-salon). the flywheel has 97 teeth. so my flywheel has a couple of missing teeth, and the face of it has stress fractures, so I'd rather not put it back on the car. the ring gear in 1931-1933 were part of the flywheel, so its not just a matter of replacing the ring (nor would that fix the cracks) the flywheel is the same for 1931-1933 Auburns. please contact me directly if anyone has one, or knows of one. I will also consider buying a spare engine (8-cyl Lycoming/Auburn) for parts in order to get a good flywheel. -Tom Lee Pennsylvania 610-212-5047
