  9. I OWN A 1929 COMMANDER MODEL FD. I PURCHASED IT WITH OUT THE IGNITON KEY. THE ON OFF LEVER WORKS GOOD. I HAVE TAKEN IT TWICE TO A CERTIFIED LOCKSMITH AND HE HAS FAILED TO MAKE A KEY FOR IT. SO I AM LOOKING TO PURCHASE A NEW CYCLINDER WITH KEY OR AT LEAST ONE THAT WORKS. ALSO INSTURCTRIONS ON REPLACING THE CYCLINDER. ANY HELP OUT HERE?

  12. How is this handle attached to the opening mechanism? They were various methods. Could you show a photo?
  13. I have restored a 1929 Model FD an eight cylinder model. I have had problems, as parts are not easy to find. However by posting ads here and in the THE ANTIQUTE STUDEBAKER REVIEW. I have located them. Other 1929 owners are of great help. It is a rewarding experience to restore a car not running and get it back on the street. Good luck. Dave
  14. I think you are started in the right direction. Using this forum to obtain parts was useful for me when I started to restore my 1929 Commander. I also join the Antique Studebaker club and meet some great owners of 29 commanders and I placed wanted ads in the magazine. Yes, please post a photo of your car. Dave
