Hello everyone. I’m helping a friend that recently purchased a 1915 Studebaker. The car has been sitting a few years inside, clean dry storage.
I did slightly turn the flywheel with the plugs out and the motor did move freely. I lightly oiled the cylinders through the primers & spark plug openings. I was going to change oil, check oil in starter drive and prime the oil pump prior to starting. I was also going to use a electric vacuum pump ( 20 inch vac ) to check the operation of the fuel pump and to help get fresh gas into the fuel system. Also appears that the distributor was changed to a modern style.
The battery was missing. I’m pretty sure this system was positive ground. Would that be correct?
Thank you
Jerry
