  1. I am helping clean up and organize items that a friend had accumulated over the years. He passed away last winter from cancer and I am helping the family prep things for an auction that will be next spring. This gas tank was sitting on top of an old tractor in the shed with nothing else Buick related around the place. What year/s used this type of tank with this script? I figured it was early teens, but not sure on the span of years it would have been used. Any help is truly appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Well, what are the chances of finding a Salsbury engine for a scooter? I have a friend that has a scooter but the engine has missing parts. The engine is in a "Basket Case" form and he has no idea what he is looking for. I am also a novice in this realm. So, what do I need for info on being able to help narrow down the search for him? How many variations were made? How long were they made? I realize that this is a brand that isn't talked about a whole bunch. (not near as common as a Cushman) I appreciate any input and insight in helping him on this. Thanks
  3. This For Sale add is for a new old stock light bar from Signal Stat. It would look great on the top of the cab of an old truck or on the back of the bed of a vintage truck outfit. This is a new unit and had never been bolted / screwed to any sort of mount. The light covers are plastic. I am asking $30 for the light bar and that includes shipping in the lower 48. I am located in Ne Iowa. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking.
  4. I have this grouping for sale. It consists of two Autolite Tech Talk publications from Dec of 1970 and Feb 1971. A Ford Times booklet from Aug 1979. A Harrah's Collection booklet from @ 1980 and a Powers Auto Museum booklet from @ 1970. There is also a Cadillac parts supply catalog thrown in from1993. I am asking $25 for these and that includes shipping in the lower 48. I am located in NE Iowa. If you have any questions let me know. Thanks for looking.
  5. What I have for sale is a grouping of rosters from the AACA from 1952 thru 1991. There are 11 total in this grouping. Yes, there are years missing to span that many years. But, the ones that are in the photo are the ones for sale. I would like $50 in all and that includes shipping in the lower 48. outside the lower 48 would be a little more. I am located in NE Iowa. I figure these should go to someone that can use these and maybe fill out some collection of theirs. Let me know if you have nay questions. Thanks for looking.
  6. In 2014 there were two CASE touring cars that sold on an auction and they brought $50,000 and $55,000 respectively. Here is a link to the sale results. Now they were fixed up. But there is a pretty strong collector following on that car because of the brand. It crosses over to the tractor collecting world. http://bid.aumannauctions.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/3455/. There is a fellow I know of looking for a Case car in southern Minnesota named Don Livingston. He deals with tractor parts specializing in Case brand. Hope the best for you and your family. Kelly
  7. This is the 1908 catalog for the Black Motor Vehicles out of Chicago. The catalog does have a page that have a slight tear of 1/2 inch (page 33). And the front cover does have a slight tear in the same lower area of 1/4 inch. The binding is missing about 1 inch in the middle of it. No pencil marks that I have seen. This is a great item for the horseless carriage time frame collection. I doubt that I will ever have one in my collection, so this needs to go to that type of home. The price is $110 for the catalog, and that includes the shipping costs to your door. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking. Item located in NE Iowa.

  9. This ad is for a grouping of 5 trade cards that are large enough for framing if wanted. I don't know the year of them. They fall into the 1928-30 time frame I think. The models pictured are the : 610 five passenger sedan 619 four passenger coupe 619 five passenger sedan 629 five passenger sedan 629 five passenger town sedan There is a little discoloration on the town sedan one. The price is $25 for all five of them and that includes shipping them to you. They are located in NE Iowa.
  10. I would not exclude the chance of the points being glazed new out of the box or even the condenser being bad. When they put the new points in, did they polish them up? I have found little things like that really mess guys up on magnetos. This distributor uses the same items. Just food for thought. I had a mag come in that had been through two mechanic shops before and it turned out to be that the "new" points that were put in by the first shop were bad out of the box. They would make and break contact normally with no grounding out, but would not function when testing on the test stand. I understand their frustration, as do most all old iron enthusiasts.
