  1. What is the oldest production date you would accept when buying new tires? How quickly do tires age if just being stored (not on the car) in a cool protected enviroment?
  2. How wide is too wide? Do you think that 235 is too wide?
  3. Thanks. A-Resto answered my question this morning. They said their parts are their own production made in Taiwan and or India. So they handle quality control, apparently. How good that is I don't know.
  4. 1963 Riviera. Are the rear control arm bushings for the 63' and the 64' the same?
  5. A-Resto Parts aka Andersen Restoration aka A/M. Suspension/steering parts Their prices seem good but they don't say who the suppliers are. Don't know about the quality. I e-mailed them asking who the manufacturers are but no reply yet to that question. https://stores.a-resto-parts.com/
  6. Anyone have any experience with Proforged brand?
  7. Anybody know which brand of ball joints and steering components is the best quality?
  8. Anybody know who sells a new sender for a reasonable price?
  9. The glove box door is made of aluminum. Is this correct? Constant pulling up on the lower left corner bends up that corner? Has any one had success in returning their door to straight condition?
  10. Hello Tom, So, sealed u-joints is the best way to go?
  11. Yes. I marked the gear box housing and the adjuster plug and the locking ring before disassembly and put them back together accordingly but I probably got that wrong. Thanks, that's probably the problem.
  12. No, I haven't installed the pump on the car yet. Do you think that could be the problem? Seriously, I suppose the pump could be bad but it was working before the gear box rebuild. When I filled it with fluid and ran the engine it got low on fluid (from pumping it to the gear box) for about 20 seconds and got noisy before I added fluid to the res. again but I don't think that 20 seconds is long enough to ruin the pump. Could be wrong, though.
  13. Tried it with engine running. Still no power steering.
  14. OK, I'll try that. I thought the engine had to be off. Thanks.
  15. I rebuilt the steering gear box. Bench tested it. Turned smoothly from one end to the other. No binding. No ball bearings seem to be out of place. Installed on car. Raised front tires off ground. Engine off. Cap off of steering pump. Turned steering wheel one side to the other all the way about 50 times. Air bubbles came up. Air bubbles eventually stopped. Still no power steering. Any advice? Thanks, Tim
  16. 63 Riv. The plastic black with silver tri-shield disc that goes in the spinner. Need 1. Thanks.
  17. What is the benefit of this? What is the price for your constant ratio gear box?
