  1. Reserved them ? I have an Electra these parts fit if the other deal falls through. I'm in 33563 zip for shipping.
  2. Post some good photos here of them and you could probably sell them here.
  3. I had one of these when I was 15 years old and it was in worse shape 40 years ago....
  4. '70 Cadillac De Ville convertible with original cold a/c. 62k miles. Not a perfect car but the price is reasonable. 12,500.
  5. Bill, maybe this is for a 4 cyl. Tempest '62 ? Ted McKenney
  6. I found this 50,000 mile Grand Prix in Pa. last year......
  7. It starts, runs, drives and stops. Runs pretty good. Quiet exhaust . Auto Stick works good. A guy in Arizona is buying it now.
  8. This is the PHS report I got last week and this morning the owner of PHS called me to discuss this car so there really is something to it.
  9. Aren't they all !? It isn't that bad and most of the paint is virgin. There are a few places it has been previously repainted mostly the pass. side and the driver front fender . There is a little rust through but it is not all rotted out. Most of the accessories are working and the engine is spinning over good and trying to fire off. This kind of car you can't really gripe about the restoration process it will require .
  10. Yes. Someone should buy one of mine and restore it. Then I could restore the other one.
  11. This is another '72 SSJ I found in a Gettysburg,Pa junkyard a couple of years ago. Black and gold loaded.
  12. It is the Hurst Auto Stick installed at Hurst during the conversion on this car. It operates similar to the Jaguar "J" gate shifter.
  13. Nice. This part is interesting..... "Though Hurst stated that the available colors for '71-'72 were Starlight Black or Cameo White, George Hurst's personal SSJ was a silver '72, and we have seen a green '72 SSJ; the author has also photographed a Bluestone Gray ('71- color) '72 SSJ, and there have been rumors of other colors, such as maroon, over the years." Wouldn't it be something if this SSJ was Mr. Hurst's personal ride in '72.
  14. One source claims 52 were built. Another source cites 60 total built for '72. Most were white/gold or black/gold. a couple of green/gold ones were built. A blue one was found and that was documented to have a full vinyl top with the sunroof and no contrasting color. A silver one was documented with no contrasting color and a black landau top.
  15. Possibly the only one with this color combination ?? Revere Silver with black 2 tone and white vinyl stripes and a black half roof. Interesting interior that seems to have been put together by Hurst...Pewter bench interior but has black carpet, black bucket seats ,black seat belts and a black headliner and side panels . Maybe a PHS report will reveal .
  16. A couple of years ago I found a black / gold '72 Pontiac Hurst SSJ in a Pa. junkyard. Complete car with original running gear and of course I was able to buy it. Yes, it is rough but well worth saving .
  17. There is an "A" after the model number. Nothing special in the VIN number.
  18. So....no one else with any STT information or cars ? After searching the 'net recently I can find no other 1940 Turret cars at all. I guess mine is the only one left.
  19. I have a rough one I bought from a friend a couple of years ago. T-top with black interior.
