  1. Wish I saw this earlier. Called and was told it’s gone
  2. It has been a while but since I physically laid eyes on the car but I do remember it quite well and looking back in my messages with the gentleman who was helping the previous owner sell it, I got a refresher on it. the car didn't run at all when I saw it. in fact it had been sitting for decades. the paint was not in good shape. there was a cover on the car that was probably damp at one point and it did a lot of damage to the paint on the drivers side. I remember at least one baseball sized rot hole through the passenger side rocker and I'm sure the rust in other spots was more extensive. the top was old, not in good shape. chrome wasn't very good. I love 47 Cadillacs more than most. I own a series 62 coupe and am in negotiations for a convertible currently, ( also a 3 speed funny enough) so I hate to seem like I am dragging the seller, Just sharing my experience with the car to help out any potential buyers. It seems like a lot of the key details have been left out.
  3. No disrespect to the seller but this car is a mess. I saw it in person 2 years ago before it was listed by the current owner. Buyer beware
  4. hey all, interested in buying a 1947 Cadillac convertible. thank you Bryan
  5. I remember inquiring about this car when it was on eBay 6 + or _ months back. I think it went for 18 or 19. Looks like a decent car for sure
  6. Trying to decode this Buick roadmaster convertible. The car has paint code 8 which is cumulus grey but the color of the car is a bit different from some examples I’ve seen. Is 73 red leather? Any idea what ACM means? Thanks! Bryan
  7. Thanks Steve! I am truly torn about selling it. If the other car doesn’t pan out I will keep it I am having a lot of fun with it. Wish I could keep them all
  8. It does indeed have power steering. Can steer this car with one finger
  9. Thank you I appreciate it. It really pains me to sell. If my other deal falls through I’ll just as soon keep it . These Buicks are great drivers I don’t hesitate to take this car anywhere
  10. Also comes with a lovely Polaroid photo of the original owner and his wife standing in front of the car :)
  11. the paperwork shown doesn’t even scratch the surface. This guy kept every registration for his 30 plus years of ownership, old titles, insurance policies, receipts dating back to the purchase year and so much more. Really remarkable. I even have the hand written estimates for the car from the dealership when they were going over specifics. Really cool stuff. Interestingly enough I have his aaca car from 1965. Must have been an early member
  12. 700 miles is nothing! I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it that distance to be honest but shipping would also be reasonable for that distance.
  13. Yeah you got that right The century came out long before the Chrysler 300 though and I’ve heard the term being used to describe even the 1st generation of centuries going back to the 30s. Either way it’s a cool nick name
  14. I was not aware of that. I had always heard the Buick century referred to as the bankers hot rod
