    I believe it is the passenger side dashboard emblem from a 1961 to 1963 "bullet" bird. Is there a part number on it? That would confirm things.

    numbers that i can make out are : CISB 6304460 A FOMOCO

    The number confirms that this emblem was first used in 1961. A partial translation of the part number is as follows:
    C- 1960's
    1- the year the part was first used (I think your number is 1 and not I)
    S- Thunderbird
    B- Body

    The rest of the number also tells more of the story, but I don't have the manual to give you the complete information. You can find more information in the 1961 parts manual.
