    Temp. gauge problem (1963 T-Bird)

    My temp. gauge seems to not be correct. When I ground the sensor lead,
    the gauge only goes to half scale. I would think that a grounded sensor wire would
    produce a full scale reading. Has anybody fooled around with the temp. gauge
    system? (The manual was no help on this calibration method.)
