I am going to work on my tranny and was wondering if anyone has replaced their original with a C6?

My car has been upgraded with a 63, heavy duty (truck) 390ci and has twin 750 Hollys.

If anyone has converted to C6, please let me know if it is an easy conversion. Am I asking for trouble or will it go right in?
