2013 Motorcycle Feature: Bobbers

The Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s located in Plymouth, MI is actively seeking submissions for its 2013 motorcycle class: Vintage Bobbers.
We are seeking period original examples as well as recent build Bobbers that maintain period styling and have a vintage cycle as their base. Restored and unrestored examples are welcome.

The Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s is in its 35th year and is considered to be one of the top Concours events in the world. Each year we feature a motorcycle class: 2012 featured Vintage Three Wheelers and we are looking forward to the 2013 Bobber Class.

If it is the intent of the club to feature vintage and period custom motorcycles then, perhaps, they should consider calling them, "Bob Jobs" as it is the period correct term for these types of bikes. "Bobber" is a new, hipster, yuppie word.

Here is my period bobber, inspired by my late friend John "JD' 2 Cameron, founding Boozefighter. The bike is an ohv Koslow twin carb twin port , 84" converted HD big flathead in a 34 Vl frame with strutted VL forks and twin front brakes etc.
Can't make the concours and really not my thing anyway but thought you might like to see the bike.
