For Sale 1941-48 Chryler, Dodge, DeSoto Rear Floor Mat

I have a rear floor mat for 1941-48 Chrylser, Dodge, DeSoto's. Box indicates the maker is Mats Unlimited and their part # is RM-22. The color is Charcoal and it is in nearly pristine condition (one end is kind of pushed in because it was standing on end rather than stored flat). This will come out once you lay it in the sun for a while to warm it up and let it flatten out. The material is rubber coated jute backing and it is in excellent condition. I have a couple other floor mats but will have to pull them out of the warehouse prior to listing.

The question is - is this meant to replace a worn original piece or is it a floor mat that would go over carpeting/rubber like a modern floor mat covering. If it is NROS for a Plymouth or Dodge that came with rubberized flooring stock, then I understand it may be valuable as a fitted replacement.

If it is meant to be a floor mat then the $175 is not realistic and the appearance is not favorable as it appears to entirely cover the carpet of whatever car it would be placed in.

I believe this is NROS and meant to replace the original. This is a fitted piece and should be installed just as the original was. It is in excellent condition w/no degradation at all and the price is what it is I guess. There are other mats out there comparable that are similarly priced and I just posted a comparable price. Price is always negotiable with the buyer and seller, as always. Hope this clarifies the question.
