40Poncho Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Allendale, Michigan Posts: 2	Replacing Manual trans for auto in 1940 Model 26 We have a 1940 Pontiac Silver Streak Deluxe Model 26 4 door touring sedan. The motor runs like new. I'm looking for info on which trans parts I would need to convert t to a modern 3 or 4 speed auto. Does anyone make an adapter plate? Has anyone here ever done it?
