Re: 1957 Buick Special 2 door sedan

Thanks for the comments 57wagon I did look at some of your photos a while back your car looks very nice.
Ok, I now have a few photos to show. The pics of the car on the trailer are of when my dad and I picked her up from the seller in PA. The pic of my dad pushing the car into his shop I was steering and you really can't see the huge smile on my face. Fastforward to now, I have three coats of primer
on the frame (which there are pics of it partially painted) also there are pics of the body hanging from the beam while we wait for a rotisserie. Most of the front end pieces have two coats of primer on them as does the rear end.I picked up a new fan shroud. Mr. Kriss is woking on the speedo I had to by a temp gage with line to the motor (NOS). IT WAS NOT CHEAP. If you are in need of one a new one is $250.00 and a rebuilt is $200.00. Question on the wheels does anyone know the color red they are supposed to be painted or a brand match. Thats all for now.

Cool Re: 1957 Buick Special 2 door sedan

Hi all,
Long time with no update, so here we go. I now have the frame and all suspsension painted and all of the rear end, front & rear suspension, brakes back on the frame, wheels painted with some junk tires on them so I can roll the frame around. Motor is coming along and I will be taking the transmission to a local shop soon. We (dad and I) now have a rotisseri and are fabbing some brackets to mount to the body. I just met with a body shop man and under his supervision I am about to get the fenders trunk lid and hood which are as close to bare metal as I could get them, cleaned & smoothed up for primming. Once I get the body on the rotisseri I can start working on getting the rear windows and side windows out and wokring on the floor boards. Radio and speedo came back from Mr. Alan J. Kris a BCA member and he did an awsome job so if you need any work done he advertises in the Bugle don't hesitate to have him do it. Not getting to work on it near enough but at least I am moving foward. You know life gets in the way but I would not miss a minute of it.

Thanks
Trace
