1978 Fiat Spyder hot start

I also posted this in "technical" with no responses: when the Fiat is at normal operating temp, it won't start. I thought about vapor lock, but even when it has just reached 175 deg., it is cantankerous. I can't find the cutout relay for the starting timing. The running timing is OK. Any ideas?

Re: 1978 Fiat Spyder hot start

Tom,
I'd suggest posting either at www.flu.org or www.mirafiori.com. Either place should get you a quick response.

I've not had that particular problem but if you're still running the dual point distributor the problem may lie within. May be time for new points/condensers. One set is used for starting and the other for running.

Also, it's Spider vs Spyder. Spyders are Corvairs.
