    For Mercer's Sake

Few early automobiles evoke the dawn of motoring like the Mercer, any Mercer.

This 1910 Mercer Model 30 Toy Tonneau was fielded by the company in the 1910 Atlanta Journal-New York Herald
Good Roads Tour, pictured about half way thru the 1,000-mile run from Atlanta to NYC.

    Enjoy,

GREAT photo! I believe there is only one surving MERCER Toy Tonneau, restored by the late Miles Coverdale, and in a private collection on Long Island ready to go on tour.

    Re: For Mercer's Sake

You can never get enough OLD Mercer photos, here is one of my favorites from 1912 "Airborn" at Elgin Road Races.

Another from 1911 with two daredevils, no doors, no windows and nothing to hold onto! Imagine this ride at 75mph on a stone road!
