I'm inquiring for someone else and I'm not a glass man. Any tips on replacement and installation on windshield glass on a '63-'65 ? Thanks!

The only tip I can give: Get a glassman!
Just glued mine on yesterday with a professional glassman, and there is no way I could have managed by myself. I did have the illusion that I could for a while, but after yesterday that's gone...

Mine is out at the moment so I'm in the process of scraping, wire brushing, then paint and replacing mine.
It was a bit caked with gunk and surface rust when the screen came out, so a workmate and I thought it best to clean it up properly before I get it put back in
it's back to bare metal now. next:
- acetone
- primer
- spray paint (i got a can that's near enough to body colour)
I'll post a couple pics of the bare aperture

My windshield just cracked the other day from a small rock hit.
My insurance co. will pay for the replacement. I got lucky.
I just need to find a shop with some old guys in it that know what
they are doing. The hard part is removing/installing the chrome trim i think.
The correct tools make the trim removal a snap. The "old guys" will have one. Leave the entire job up to them that way they'll be totally responsible in case of any mishaps.
