| Re: Tips on removal of '64 Riv remote door mirror The interior joystick comes off with 2 phillips headed screws from the door panel. From there you have to get the cables to move up and out of the retaining slots so you can pull them off. Bring tape and a sharpie to label them because most of the time the colour coding is hard to read. This will allow you to thread the cable into the door. The mirror glass comes out with the phillips headed screw on the leading edge of the mirror mount, this will get the glass and the mounting "basket" loose and allow you to pull it out a good ways if not all the way out. I'm honestly blanking on how to get the base off of the door but you might have to pull the doorskin to do it. Deffering to others on that one.
