THANK YOU TO CHRIS KNOWLES

The Riviera email sharing list that has been a free service provided by Chris Knowles for many, many years has now ended. Chris, as it was his right to do, decided to close the server down today. I know that parts of maintaining this service to Riviera owners had stopped being fun for Chris. When some aspects of a hobby cease to be enjoyable, one certainly has to evaluate future involvement.

I want to share this email I sent to Chris earlier today, after learning of his decision:

Hi, Chris. I could hear the anguish within you, as I read your final email to the email list a moment ago. Please accept my personal gratitude for all the good you have accomplished in furthering the Riviera collector car hobby over the years. Your dedication to all of us and the commitment of your personal time makes you a pretty special person in my book. Thank you for everything. I hope it is possible for me to personally shake your hand some day in the future. My best to you. John in Wisconsin

ALL READERS PLEASE NOTE: I am not posting here to start any sort of discussion about Chris' actions. Rather, I know the information found on the Riviera email list was a great help to me over the years. I simply wanted to publicly thank Chris here on the official ROA board for his exceptional contribution to the Riviera world. John
