'63 Water Pump Technicality

My new water pump has arrived. Yee-ha.

The shaft extends about ¼ inch further above the fan hub than one of my old water pumps, which was for a non a/c car. Will there be room in the center of the fan to accommodate this slightly longer shaft?

Also, the impellers are of a slight shorter diameter than the ones on my old non a/c pump. Hopefully, not a concern.

I won't be doing the work myself, so any headzup would be greatly appreciated.

Re: '63 Water Pump Technicality

Here's a comparison between new and old. The vanes on the 5 blade are smaller on the 3 blade...for purposes of surface area, making it like a "4-blade." Perhaps that's the manufacturing compromise that makes it suitable for a/c or non a/c.
