to me it looks like a 29 dodge senior six, if it is, the photo is not from the US. as it has fender lights which were only fitted to export models (eg)europe , australia , NZ , etc . another thing that doesn,t look right is the roof line , perhaps a hearse /funeral car conversion

Leif got in while I was working on this one. I agree Hupmobile because of the sidelights and the three clamps on the front bumper. I think the visor was an option in this era. This link is to a pic of a regualr sedan whereas the mystery car is probably a town sedan. http://www.geaaonline.org/05PIC17.JPG

My vote would be a Model -H. The real way to tell is the wheelbase. The H is 125 in. & the U is 137 in. H prouduction for 1930 was 1,868 , 735 for 1931 and 270 for 1932. The U production for 1930 was 393, 170 in 1931 and 122 for 1932. Because the H & U were the higher dollar cars they were the ones that some customers would have re bodied that made them qualify for status as classic.

nzcanerd, it looks like you got it right. Do you mind posting your answer on that site so that the person that uploaded that photo would get an automatic email notifying them that you solved the mystery?

Both windscreens in those coloured Hup pics are bent [sharply] at the bottom. The original only has a gentle curve.
The radiator to me is a 28 Dodge but now that I look closely at the tyres & body they do look massive. Too big for a Dodge.
Are we looking at an upper medium or high class car here?
