Here is an old AC Delco Air Cleaner - I'm guessing it's from the 1940's, but not sure.

Anyone have one like this on their car? Or any idea what it might be from?

It would help if you could find any part numbers on the decal. This would help in IDing the Air Cleaner.

I take this is an oil bath cleaner? It would also help if you measure the width across the unit as well as the throat width.

Looks like '49-'54 Chevy six.

It's a copper-mesh element "oil-wetted" type cleaner; the bulk of the unit is due to the silencer "doughnut".
