I don't see any L-29, but the car in the top right is a 1932 Chrysler Imperial, top left looks to be a 1932 Model KB Lincoln, back to the left is a 1935 Ford. The car in the back center appears to be a Checker cab. I think the main car in the photo is a Mercer.

Looks like a professional photo, at least... not a "civilian snapshot"...
Looks like the Mercer in the foreground was updated with electric lights.
Any idea as to the touring car behind the runabout ?
The New York 1938 Dealer plate on the runabout is intriguing...
