By 1933 all Buicks had straight 8's
If its a I6 more likely a Chev or other GM brand engine
When better Automobiles were built, Buick built Straight 8's

GMC trucks used the Buick inline six into the mid 30's

When Buick went to the OHV eight the molds, castings etc, for the OHV six became the property of the GMC Truck Division. Within a few years it still looke like a Buick but the external casting marks had been changed to GMC. This engine was used up int to 50's.
In the late 20's and early 30's the 1/2, 3/4 and some 1 ton GMCs used Pontiac and Oldsmobile engines. The larger trucks used the Buick 6 and it's GMC counterpart.

I just had to comment on your GREAT truck!!! Wow it looks in great condition. When Buick became part of GMC the exchange of parts was ramped, many of the parts are interchangable, with the exception of the labled parts "ie, buick, chevrolet, GMC stamped parts" If you look at the smaller trucks, other than the name plates, the were almost copies. Well best of luck with your gem.

Does anyone know where to get info on the three piece windsheild? I know of only one other in existence at the Kleysen showroom in Winnipeg,MB.
Being from Saskatchewan I would love to find it was made in Regina, how did you learn where your car was made, from the VIN# or from archives?
