What kind of car is this?

Hello, im brand new to this forum. I am new to old cars in genral... i am in to lowriders right now, and a 64 impala is really the oldest car i worked on. I recently went to the Bill Harrah auto museum and that is my inspiration to build an old car, the one a saw that really caught my eye,was a 1930's ride and it had 1 seat up front in the middle and 2 behind. The motor was located in the trunk and if my memory serves me correctly it was a rotary piston syled air cooled engine.
I can imagine how rare a car like this probaly is but id gladly dedicat my time to finding and restoring one, if any one has any information on the make model year on this car i would apprecaite it, thanks.

I assume you mean the National Automobile Museum in Reno?

http://www.automuseum.org

Unfortunately I dont know the car to which you refer. I did look through the NAM site to see if i could find it but no luck. I suggest you drop them an email. I'm sure they know.

Let us know what you find out.

Perhaps you were looking at the 1906 Adams-Farwell, which had a five-cylinder rotary air-cooled engine located at the rear of the vehicle. Adams-Farwell cars were made at Dubuque, Iowa from 1905 to 1911. Production was very small and the car in the Harrah Collection is believed to be the only one still existing.

Evan, Welcome to the Forum, you have a very good eye for automobiles, the 1925 Julian has long been one of my favorites in the Harrah Collection. Years ago there was a full feature in Car Life or Road & Track, back in the late 1960's they would do a road test on a Harrah car. The Julian is a one off so you'll never see another.
