We lost another antique car buff!

I just found out that John Dudley of Hood, Virginia (North of Charlottesville, Va.) passed away recently. Not a lot of information is available. There were no funeral arrangements published. He evidently had a stroke. Mr. Dudley was well known throughout the East Coast as the Owner/Curator of the Roaring Twenties Antique Car Museum of Hood, Virginia. He was well versed in antique auto history and seemed to know it all. Their web site is still up at www.roaring-twenties.com Wayne

Wayne, thanks for the alert on John. Though i have been working overseas for the last five years i stayed in touch with John. My home is in Roanoke and would look forward to visiting John during travels. I gave him sold old Cleveland or Chandler letterhead letters for his museum in the past plus bought some early CAD top bows.Great guy and he had just sent me an email about his Stephens about a month ago. Very sorry to hear this. I would not have know if you had not sent this note out.

Re: We lost another antique car buff!

Keith, The man was a wealth of information. He recently gave a program on the Fish carburator at the Historic Fredericksburg Region in Fredericksburg, Va. that was very interesting according to their newsletter, where most of my information came from, by the way. Sorry, I missed that one. It's a shame to lose all of this knowledge when our older hobbists leave us. That's why you should always listen to what they have to say, even if you have to beg them to tell you about "so and so". I still learn more about my family everytime I go see my Mom and Dad(77&79 repec.) My Dad and I were never close when I was younger, even thogh I worked with him for some time. Sorry about reminising so much, but it's on my mind a lot here lately. Wayne
