Anyone have a source for THREADED RIVETS?
Anyone have a source for THREADED RIVETS?
You mean screws?
I've never heard of threaded rivets.
I would think you're looking for slotless, threaded, screws. Try Restoration Supply, or maybe even McMaster Carr. This is the kind of thing that would be used to restore a trunk, for example, when it has numerous exposed fasteners that were originally smooth-head rivets.......

Some people call the SLOTLESS/UNSLOTTED MACH. SCREWS. They typ. have the same head dia./etc. as a mach. sc. - made of SS. I had a great source years back for many sizes and now their gone or i cant find them. I know u can get them from Rest. Supply and TIOGA but there limited.

Are you referring to rivnuts, like these? Rivnut Blind Fasteners Internal Thread Tubular Rivets
If so, they are readily available from McMaster Carr, Grainger, online, etc.
Restoration Supply has threaded rivets.

I think this what you are looking for. Page down to the Machine Screws.
Unslotted Screws
Are you talking about drive rivets? They are often used to attach I.D. plates to castings and similar uses. They must still be available from McMaster etc. as at work we still buy a gauge device that uses them to attach an etched instruction plate. It's a industrial tool {Lufkin}that hasn't changed for 50 years or more and I assume Lufkin still buys the rivets from time to time. {unless they bought a couple of hundred thousand of them 20 years ago and are still using them up}.

Hanson Rivet
Restoration Specialties in PA carries a 10-32 thread x 1/2 in. threaded rivet. Another alternative is to use machine thread carriage bolts. Most all fasteners now must carry grade markings so you may have to file or sand these off. Rest. Spec. no. is 814-467-9842
Get threaded rivets in Stainless from MSC Stainless Fasteners:

Try searching for binding post barrel or barrel screws at McMaster car or Fastenal, Ace hardware might have some as well. Here is an example; Binding Post Screw Sets | Fastenal
