Sam was a valued friend, a family man, and a guy who loved touring and old cars. He and Linda have been a credit to the hobby for as long as I can remember

    Re: Sam High...More sad news

We all owe a lot to Sam High. I owe a lot to Sam High. I met him in Baltimore sometime in 1976 at a cars show. He was driving a Model A. He became interested in judging, and he and Linda traveled the country far and wide to show cars and judge. He traveled far and wide to serve on the Judging Committee. They didn't stop there, but attend most tours that came along during his fifteen years on the Board. I served on the Board with him, and I always felt him to be a friend. In the end, Sam was a legend in judging circles. Who could ask for more than to become a legend in some way. The club will miss Sam, Past and Present Directors will miss Sam, Judy and I will miss Sam, but most of all Linda and their children will miss Sam. Rest easy Sam.

I have a picture of Sam High presenting me with a National Award at a meet when he was pres. of AACA. I will treasure the photo even more now. God bless his family.

I had the very great pleasure to know Sam and serve with him on the National Board. He was a true gentleman and an ardent antique vehicle enthusiast and will certainly be greatly missed by all who knew him.
