Paul's Chrome Plating does an excellent job of repairing and plating potmetal. I've never found anyone better. Be forewarned though, it ain't cheap!

I have had good luck with The Finishing Touch in Chicago.
Did an excellent job on all the pot metal on my 1950 Buick. Looks brand new and they kept all the detail.

I have been pleased with the items I have sent to Graves Plating in Florence, AL and also with the average turnaround time. I will echo the fact that it is not inexpensive. A door handle was $ 150.00 - but it is a great looking door handle now!

I wrote Graves three different times asking for information and scheduling on potmetal repair and plating service and never got a reply. I figured if they couldn't respond to a business inquiry, I might also not get my parts back, and I wasn't about to send parts without a confirmation of work scheduling.

49 Chevy PU, I had all my potmetal done by Potmetal Restorations of Tallahassee, Fla. They did my lower grille bars, parking lights, door handles, hood orn., taillight housings, circleV on grille and trunk and fender strips.
They did NOT grind the pits down till there was no part left.
Like everyone said it aint cheap. They advertise in HMN

In Theory there is no difference between practice and theory.
In Practice, there is.
