Although photos taken by our Cape Canaveral Region photographer during the 2004 National Winter Meet in Melbourne, FL March 4-6 will be posted in the next few days, the photos taken by the professional photographers, Event Photo, from Michigan are now posted on their web site. They (Dwight Fish & Marilyn Knapp) took a lot of good pictures, and for those who had vehicles in the show, high quality prints can still be purchased....just see the information on their web site. Hey Art, Which one of those many pictures has the face of Roadster Rich in it? I also saw your wife in the group picture. Can you identify the other couple with you?
By the way fellows, our new AACA President, Earl Beauchamp is pictured coming on the show field. I had one heck of a time seeing all of the picture. I don't think I'm in any of the pictures posted there... we were on the show field from 5:30AM to 4PM the day of the show setting up for, working with, and cleaning up from the Juniors.

There are pictures of me around, just not professional ones, they do have their standards you know!

I've been through them all... no pictures of the Juniors. We didn't drive on to the field with the rest of the cars, we set up at 10PM the night before by the light of Surban Headlights. We arrived on the field about 5AM show day and put out all the Junior stuff and set up Miles for display.

In looking at the pictures I see just how much of the show I didn't get to see. Next time definitely have to have relief at some point in the day as we really didn't get to see the show itself...

That's the way it is with hosting a show, Rich. I'm sure everyone appreciated the fact that the show went without a hitch. We'll have to see what your Region's photography pics look like. Wayne

Roadster Rich did a great job with the youth at our Meet, but he was pretty well occupied at his tent all day long. We should have gotten him some help so he could enjoy some of the other cars. Of course, as Meet Chairman, I was on the move the entire day, and I hardly got a chance to enjoy the show either.....that comes with the job. Anyway, quite a few youth were there with Rich and Colleen every time I went by....they were busy checking tires, engine, etc. and learning how a car works. I talked to some of the parents, and they were impressed with Rich's program.

Art, Can't wait to see your camera man pictures. There is a lot of interest in the youth programs at all National Shows this year.
Earl and Judy Beauchamp attended our Regional meeting tonight. Earl had some fancy slacks on too. I thanked Judy for helping spruce up the "Pres". They told us of the events they have to attend in the coming weeks. Doesn't sound like an easy job. It's not all fun and games at the "top" guys. A lot of work is involved too. It was good to see them again. Wayne
