Re: engines:sell or scrap

Pete please dont junk them. Im less than a hundred miles from you. If the price is not to high I will come and get them. They have to many indiv. parts that I,friends or folks on this site can use.

Pete

Please don't take them to the scrap yard. Too much old car stuff goes to the scrap yards. You should be able to find buyers for the Ford and Buick engines although for not a lot of money as they are stuck and blocks and heads may be cracked and unusable. At the very worst offer them for free to anyone that will come pick them up.

I'd like to see them put to good use myself. I just needed to see how much interest there was. I can't really give them away. For reasons I won't go into here, I have to make some effort to sell them.
I don't know where I got the idea that the V6 was a Dodge, maybe I misread a casting number or something. Based on the intake casting no. it's a GM 3.8L.
Any ideas how much they might be worth?

Re: engines:sell or scrap

Without some detailed photos it will be difficult to put prices on something people haven't seen.

Ebay them. Then you will know they have value if they sell. Dandy Dave!

Re: engines:sell or scrap

Dear petednumber1,

I have been trying to give away a 38 buick engine complete with chassis and there have been no takers.
The scrap yard is looking good right about now.
